Radis Community Care, a leading provider of community-based care across England and Wales is proud to announce that the Care Team at West End Village in Stoke-on-Trent has been shortlisted for the Supporting Older People with Learning Disabilities Award at the 2025 National Learning Disabilities and Autism Awards.

The nomination celebrates the team’s exceptional, person-centred approach to supporting older individuals living with learning disabilities. Their work not only promotes independence and dignity but also ensures residents feel connected, confident, and empowered in their daily lives.

From helping a resident gain vital life skills after the loss of his primary carer, to supporting another to become a valued part of the wider community, the West End Village team has consistently gone above and beyond. In one case, staff have remained a lifeline for a resident navigating cancer treatment without family support, attending every medical appointment and liaising with hospital staff to ensure continuity of care.

Sarah Brown, Regional Manager at Radis Community Care, said: “We are incredibly proud of the team at West End Village. Their dedication and empathy in care in delivery has made a real and lasting difference. Being shortlisted for this award is a well-deserved recognition of their work.”

The virtual judging will take place on Tuesday 3rd June, with the winners announced at a black-tie ceremony at the ICC Birmingham on Friday 4th July 2025.
