South East Wales

Since 2008, we have been supporting frail older people and those with physical and learning disabilities, dementia, mental health problems and other support needs, across Gwent – including Abergavenny, Usk, Chepstow, Caldicott, Torfaen county borough and Newport.

From simply popping in to make a cup of tea to full personal care, our support is tailored to meet the need of every individual with the primary aim of helping people to remain as independent as possible and live fulfilling lives in their own homes and as part of their local community.

We also offer a sitting service to help family carers take a break, go to work, go shopping or keep other commitments – safe in the knowledge their loved one is well cared for in their absence.

In Torfaen, our overnight support service is there to help between 11pm and 7am, whether that is for a planned care need or for urgent calls such as a fall.

With more than 80 members of staff on the team, some with over 10 years’ experience with Radis, we can offer compassionate and personalised care, allowing people to continue do as much for themselves as they’re able, but with support.

“I was first inspired to pursue a career in care after caring for my dad with my sister. Knowing that I am allowing people to remain in the homes that they love is what gives me fulfilment. These might be their first homes that they have lived in all their lives and perhaps raised children in – our homes are full of memories and for a lot of people it is their wish to stay in that home. I am happy to be part of a team that makes that wish comes true.”

“I wish to thank everybody involved in the wonderful care of my aunt. I am so grateful to you all and think her carers are the salt of the earth. It gives me comfort that although I live overseas I know she couldn’t be in better hands.”

“I cannot thank you all from branch staff to care staff for the care that has been provided to my parents. When they became poorly Radis branch staff increased the package of care immediately and the care staff was amazing, they looked after my parents to the best of their ability.”

“They don't rush me; they support me to be as independent as possible. I will chat things through with my main carer, it is always confidential, and I feel at ease with them, we have a really nice relationship.”

“Radis have been my carers in excess of 10 years and in that time I have come to look on them as extended family. The girls are always cheerful and I enjoy the banter and I feel safe in their care. My family and I rely on them enormously and I know that it gives my wife peace of mind to know that I am well cared for. The manager and office staff are unfailingly helpful and we have a good rapport/relationship with them. They will always try to help if we need extra care or make changes, if at all possible. I/we have no hesitation in recommending Radis in Welshpool to other families and we look forward to many more years of their care.”

“Thank you so much for the most amazing, wonderful and caring service you and your team have provided for my mum, especially since she has recently come out of hospital. Constantly checking on her when she came out, you’ve taken a huge weight off my mind – what an amazing service! I would happily recommend Radis Community Care.”
