Radis, a leading community care provider, have laid down new foundations in Lancashire after winning a tender from Lancashire County Council to run five new Extra Care schemes in the county.
Together, Hynd Brook House, Kirk House, Bannister Brook House, Greenwood Court and Marlborough Court will accommodate over 200 vulnerable people, ensuring that residents receive the right support whilst maintaining as much independence as possible.
Radis’ onsite team will be available 24/7 at each location to support residents with daily tasks, including meal preparation, washing, dressing, shopping and getting out into the community.
Paula Hoggarth, Radis’ group operations director said: “Winning contracts to provide care to five new Extra Care schemes across Lancashire is a reflection of the team’s hard work. Being able to work alongside Lancashire County Council to support more vulnerable people with a range of health care needs is an incredible achievement.
“We are thrilled to be given this opportunity to form new relationships and love welcoming new colleagues to our team as well as making a positive difference to the lives of individuals across Lancashire.”
A number of care worker jobs have become available at the schemes based in Accrington, Leyland and Skelmersdale as a result of these new contracts. The roles are perfect for those looking to make a positive difference to people’s lives through outstanding community care. A rewarding career in care at Radis comes with the benefit of full training and excellent career progression.
