Leading Care Provider Begins New Overnight Care Service in Local Community

Radis Community Care has begun a planned overnight care service in Telford & Wrekin, aimed at providing reassurance, support, and safety checks for people in their own homes during the night.

An overnight care service provides individuals with necessary support and care at home, which is beneficial for individuals who are frail, elderly, or have complex health conditions.

By providing personalised home-based visits and tailored interventions, the service helps people remain safe and comfortable at home, offering timely support that can help prevent unnecessary escalation of health concerns.

The care provider already delivers a similar service in Shrewsbury, and the Telford & Wrekin overnight service follows the same proven model. Two trained carers operate throughout the night in a Radis vehicle, responding to both scheduled visits and responsive calls where support is required.

Visits are tailored to individual needs and may include welfare checks, reassurance, practical assistance or support during periods of illness or vulnerability. The service supports both short-term and longer-term needs, providing flexible care at times when people can feel most at risk.

The service is being commissioned jointly across Telford & Wrekin, with Radis providing services in the northern patch. This represents a continued investment in community-based care designed to improve outcomes and reduce pressures on the local health and social care system.
