Clarence Park Village

At Clarence Park Village in Malvern, residents are ideally situated close to shops and public transport, as well as having a fantastic range of social and leisure facilities available on-site.

There are 101 modern, spacious and energy efficient one, two and three bedroom apartments exclusively for people aged 55 and over, available to rent, buy, or buy with shared ownership. Residents enjoy a range of on-site services, including a health and beauty salon, gym, library, craft room and greenhouse, along with eateries including a coffee shop, restaurant and bar.

Regular resident and housing association-led activities and groups include film nights, themed restaurant nights, arts and crafts groups, fitness sessions such as tai chi and talks from local and national societies.

A dedicated Wellbeing Advisor is also on hand to support residents with achieving a healthy lifestyle from blood pressure checks to advice on diet and exercise.

For those residents who require support, our carers strive to help them to retain as much independence as possible, for as long as possible. Care is tailored to the needs of each person, provided within the comfort and privacy of their own apartment and can range from a little help daily to support throughout the day and night time.

Working in close partnership with Platform Housing Group and Worcestershire County Council, we ensure high quality, seamless independent living for the residents of this scheme.

Lisa Crane

MANAGER AT CLARENCE PARK VILLAGE

“Personal circumstances took me into care work as a temp role, but 15 years later I’m still here. I found that I enjoyed helping people and making a difference to people’s lives. At Clarence Park, the team has initiated a summer garden party which has become a tradition over the last several years. Within this event, all staff come together for this day. We invite everyone who lives at Clarence Park and their families to participate.”

“Before I moved in we talked about what I wanted. There was a schedule drawn up about when I needed help and what with. ”

“I am one of the original tenants, from when Wellwood House opened in 2002. I call Wellwood House my home. I am now 97 years old and am still able to do what I can for myself, which is thanks to the design of the building and the care and support I receive from the staff. I have got to know them all well over the years and I am very thankful that they have kept me healthy and motivated.”

“The staff support me with what I can't quite manage. They all know how independent I am and don't try to take this away from me.”

“I moved into Ty George Lansbury 6 years ago following discharge from hospital. I couldn’t return to my house, so coming to Ty George was peace of mind for myself and for my family. It meant that I could live independently but still have the support from the 24 hr lifeline service and care team just in case I have any difficulties at all. It’s also good to know there is always the support from the on-site Radis care workers too.”

“I feel safe. There are no care staff that walk through my flat door that I am not pleased to see. Staff are all different but have the same care values at heart. Very kind, caring and reassuring. I am very impressed with this place. I would like to end my days here at Woodland Court.”
