Staff working for Radis Community Care have been presented with specially commissioned ‘care hero’ badges in recognition of their hard work and dedication during the corona virus crisis.

Corona virus has presented unprecedented challenges for social care services, with staff showing exceptional commitment to keeping vital services running for some of the most vulnerable members of the community at a time when they need help the most.

As a small gesture in recognition of the monumental efforts Radis staff have all made to keep service users safe and well in the most challenging of times, a specially commissioned Radis ‘care hero’ badge featuring the Radis logo and a picture of a rainbow which became a symbol of support for key workers during the virus, has been sent to all staff.

Throughout the crisis, staff continued to share their stories as well as the positive feedback they had received from service users, which were compiled to create a special YouTube video to share across the organisation and boost morale:

Deepesh Patel, Radis Director said: “The last few weeks have been unprecedented for us all. Each one of us has faced challenges the likes of which we didn’t expect or plan for. Challenges which have been trying for everyone in the country in different ways but for people like us who are also responsible for the safety and wellbeing of so many vulnerable members of the community, we have been at the sharp end of this battle each and every day.

“Despite this, staff have all dug deep and found that strength and resilience to keep going, to keep our services going and to keep our clients safe and well. Every week since this crisis started, we have seen some incredible examples of individual staff members going above and beyond, teams pulling together to support each other and the wider community getting behind our staff, doing what they can to help and finding all sorts of ways to show their appreciation. We are so proud of them all.”
