The Welsh Valleys

For over 10 years, we have been helping people in Caerphilly, Blaneau Gwent, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Merthyr Tydfill and Bridgend to remain as independent as possible and live fulfilling lives in their own homes and as part of their local community; from popping in to make a cup of tea and cleaning to personal care, help with medication and getting to hospital appointments.

For family carers who are looking for a break away from caring, our sitting service can offer some respite, allowing them to take some time for themselves whilst safe in the knowledge that their loved one is being well-cared for.

We are the largest provider of visiting care in Caerphilly and our care workers are well regarded locally for the services that they provide to frail older people and those with physical and learning disabilities, dementia, mental health problems and other support needs.

In Blaenau Gwent, our specially trained care workers support people with long term and complex mental health needs – helping with essential day to day activities such as personal care, medication, budgeting and accessing local amenities in the community.

“I began my career with Radis in 2016 as a care worker to be able to support people living in their own homes and be able to make a difference to people’s lives. I love working in social care, it is a very rewarding job and very meaningful.
I am proud to work alongside my team, we are like one big family. Radis has an excellent support network which has enabled me to further my career here; I am extremely thankful.”

“I wish to thank everybody involved in the wonderful care of my aunt. I am so grateful to you all and think her carers are the salt of the earth. It gives me comfort that although I live overseas I know she couldn’t be in better hands.”

“I cannot thank you all from branch staff to care staff for the care that has been provided to my parents. When they became poorly Radis branch staff increased the package of care immediately and the care staff was amazing, they looked after my parents to the best of their ability.”

“They don't rush me; they support me to be as independent as possible. I will chat things through with my main carer, it is always confidential, and I feel at ease with them, we have a really nice relationship.”

“Radis have been my carers in excess of 10 years and in that time I have come to look on them as extended family. The girls are always cheerful and I enjoy the banter and I feel safe in their care. My family and I rely on them enormously and I know that it gives my wife peace of mind to know that I am well cared for. The manager and office staff are unfailingly helpful and we have a good rapport/relationship with them. They will always try to help if we need extra care or make changes, if at all possible. I/we have no hesitation in recommending Radis in Welshpool to other families and we look forward to many more years of their care.”

“Thank you so much for the most amazing, wonderful and caring service you and your team have provided for my mum, especially since she has recently come out of hospital. Constantly checking on her when she came out, you’ve taken a huge weight off my mind – what an amazing service! I would happily recommend Radis Community Care.”
