The Radis Care Awards recognise and celebrate our amazing teams and the incredible work they do.

At Radis Community Care we have so many wonderful, dedicated people who really do make a positive difference to people’s lives. There are those who continuously strive to improve our growing organisation, those who go above and beyond for their colleagues and clients, and those who regularly make a positive impact.

After receiving hundreds of brilliant nominations, an external panel of judges have selected the finalists and winners for this year’s Radis Care Awards.

Care or Support Worker of the Year

The Care or Support Worker of the Year award will be given to a Care or Support Worker who consistently provides an excellent level of service to our clients, someone who responds and adapts well to a change in circumstances, and who thinks and acts proactively. This individual helps clients remain independent, tailors their communication styles per client and demonstrates an understanding of their clients’ needs and preferences.

The Care or Support Worker of the Year will also act in the best interests of their clients and the organisation, be dedicated to Radis and demonstrate willingness to learn and grow.

Demonstrating Radis Values Award

This award will be given to the individual who consistently demonstrates their understanding of the Radis values and incorporates them into their day to day role. This person acts with the following: professionalism, ownership, social responsibility, integrity, teamwork, innovation, valuing people and excellence.

Emerging Talent Award

This award will recognise a member of staff who has been employed by Radis for 12 months or less, or is in a new position/role, they will have shown talent in their field, demonstrated a strong work ethic and work towards improving the future of Radis. They will have made great contributions and are likely to make a positive difference to the organisation during their career at Radis.

Going the Extra Mile Award - Operational Team (care)

This award will be given to an individual who has demonstrated outstanding achievements which have impacted their colleagues, clients or the wider organisation. This person will have shown their selflessness, dedication and will:

  • go above and beyond on a regular basis for their colleagues and/or clients
  • have completed a piece of work has made a substantial difference to the organisation
  • have done something incredible in the best interest of their client(s)

This award will be given to an individual who has demonstrated outstanding achievements which have impacted their colleagues, clients or the wider organisation. This person will have shown their selflessness, dedication and will:

Leadership Award

The award will recognise the person who has demonstrated strong leadership skills and acted in their team’s best interests. This person should recognise the work of their team, help with their team’s career and personal development goals, and should inspire and support those around them. The award winner will also seek to improve their own personal development, skillset and strive to progress with their career. This person will reflect on outcomes and work with other leaders to ensure their goals remain in line with the company’s strategic objectives.

Putting the Client First Award

This award will recognise a member of staff who demonstrates an understanding of client needs, whilst tailoring their approach to each individual and circumstance. This person will have strong relationships with clients and their families and ensure clients are involved in activities, decisions and processes at appropriate times. This person will ensure the client’s wellbeing is priority at all times, and supports clients in remaining independent.

Team of the Year - Operational Team (care)

This award will be given to the team who have worked together to achieve positive outcomes, sharing the same vision and goal. The team should consistently have high morale, strong communication skills and demonstrate trust for everyone in the team. A team may be defined as a group of people within a care setting, a team of people from different departments or a group of people demonstrating cross-functional collaboration.

The Team of the Year will be able to overcome hurdles effectively together, understand each person’s role within the team, and demonstrates good practice at all times.

Team of the Year - Support Team

This award will be given to the team who have worked together to achieve positive outcomes, sharing the same vision and goal. The team should consistently have high morale, strong communication skills and demonstrate trust for everyone in the team. A team may be defined as a department of the support team, a team of people from different departments or a group of people demonstrating cross-functional collaboration.

The Team of the Year will be able to overcome hurdles effectively together, understand each person’s role within the team, and demonstrates good practice at all times.

Terms & Conditions

Rules for entry

  1. Nominations must be made by someone else, you cannot nominate yourself
  2. All nominations must be seconded by a member of staff at Radis
  3. Entries close 11:59pm 31st August 2023.
  4. Any entries received after the closing time on the closing date will not be considered
  5. All fields must be completed to make a valid nomination
  6. The judging panel may move entries from one category to another if they feel it is more suitable.

Introduction

The following terms and conditions apply to the Radis Care Awards 2023. By taking part in the nomination and awards process you accept and agree to the interaction terms and conditions. We recommend that you print and store or save a copy of these terms and conditions for future reference during the awards process. 

  1. Entry
    1. The Radis Care Awards 2023 entries open at on 03/07/2023 and close 31/08/2023. Any entries received before or after the open and closing date and time will not be counted.
    2. For competition entry, entrants must answer the question(s) or complete the task(s) specified and submit the information as indicated in the interaction information.
    3. Entrants may be required to provide their full name, full contact telephone number or other method of contact (if applicable), email address and/or any other information as specified at the time of entering their nomination. 
    4. Nominations for awards, must be by the applicable method(s) as indicated in the interaction information which may include any (but not necessarily all) of the following:
      1. Website entry: entries via the website are required to follow the instructions on the website as indicated in the interaction information. 
      2. Phone entry: entries can be made via the phone to the Radis enquiries telephone number on 03301008150. 
    5. In the event of any fault, mistake, misunderstanding or dispute concerning the correctness or acceptability of any answers given by entrants, or the operation of any part of the competition, prize draw or nomination, the decision of Radis Group shall be final.
  2. The Prize
    1. A glass trophy will be awarded to the winners of each category only
    2. No cash equivalent or alternative prize will be given at the request of the winner and the prize is non-transferable and non-exchangeable.
    3. Radis Group will not be liable where a prize has been lost, damaged or stolen following delivery and such prize will not be replaced.
  3. Winner Selection
    1. The winner will be selected by a panel of judges, based on the information provided in the nomination, against the category selected. 
  4. Privacy
    1. Information and data (“personal data”) which is provided by you during the nomination process will be held by Radis Group and may be used by the company for the purposes of administering the vote.
    2. You may be contacted using the contact information provided, for the purpose of the Radis Care Awards 2023.
